Nurturing, Quality Environment
Kindergrove opened in October of 2011 with just a few children. Since that time, it has grown by leaps and bounds. We now have over 120 children and have 40 or so staff. The center is usually full with a waitlist.
We have chosen not to do much advertising out of center. Word of mouth is our advertising. Happy parents and families do it for us. We pride ourselves in having a wonderful partnership and relationship with each of our families. That is what we are here for...to nurture and build relationships with our students and parents. Even after kiddos have graduated from our program, they still come back to visit and that is something we love. We cherish the time we have with these children and hold it very dear to our hearts.
Exceeds all standards and expectations on every level. Location. Facility. Staff. Nutrition. Curriculum. Education. Activities. Everything. Clean environment from the moment you walk in. Low turn over rate if any. Consistency. Ongoing training and development for staff. Community involvement. Couldn't be more in love with this place
We absolutely LOVE Kindergrove! Both of our girls love going to school! Their teachers are wonderful, so loving and take the time to make sure their classes help the kids thrive! Wouldn't have them anywhere else!
Infant/Toddler Classes Our infant through two year old classrooms use Conscious Discipline skills and the state recommended Adventures for Toddlers Curriculum. You can find more information on the state DHS website. These teachers enjoy adding their own creative flair to learning based on children's interests and developments.
Ages 3 and 4
Our Preschool classes use the Adventures in Learning for Preschoolers. This curriculum stimulates the whole child through a variety of learning activities and experiences. The teacher integrated curriculum creatively weaves together art projects, music, foreign language, sign language, storytelling, math games, and science experiments around a monthly theme. Each month, our activities help your child learn a balance of social-emotional skills and learning objectives.
Our Pre-K Classroom are set up more like Kindergarten. The teachers develop lessons that follow the state Kindergarten Readiness checklist and prepares children for the next big step in their education. This class is for children who will be attending Kindergarten in fall of the next year.
My children have both been at Kindergrove from the time they were 4 months old. My son is finishing up his Pre-K year now and will be moving on to Kindergarten. We have loved every year, but have especially loved the older years where he has teachers trained in Project-Based Learning. His teachers have really helped develop his natural sense of curiosity in the ways they lead students to develop questions about nature and art. He is more than prepared for elementary school. As a teacher myself, I love seeing how his teachers have incorporated math, writing, and art in such creative ways that truly engage students. Learning through play is so important and this school has embraced this philosophy in their classrooms.
